COVID-19 fourth wave scare: India records 3,451 new cases in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India registered 3,451 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
According to the Ministry's bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,31,02,194 while the death toll rose to 5,24,064 as 40 more people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 3,079 more people recovered from the disease, taking the total tally to 4,25,57,495.
The recovery rate currently stands at 98.74 per cent. The active caseload currently stands at 20,635, the figures showed.
According to the bulletin, 84.06 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 190.20 of crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
