COVID-19: India’s daily tally continues to decline, reports 44,877 new cases

New Delhi: India has recorded 44,877 new Covid-19 cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,26,31,421, while the death toll rose to 5,08,665 as 684 succumbed to the virus.
The recovery tally rose to 4,15,85,711 as 1,17,591 people got freed from the disease. The recovery rate stands at 97.55 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 5,37,045, the figures showed.
According to the bulletin, 75.07 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 172.81 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
