COVID-19: India logs 1,088 new cases, 26 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: A total of 1,088 people have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,30,38,016 while the death toll rose to 5,21,736 as 26 succumbed to the disease.
On a positive, 1,081more people recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,25,05,410.
The recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent. The active caseload stands at 10,870, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 79.49 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 186.07 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
