COVID-19: India logs 1,270 cases, 31 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 1,270 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally to 4,30,20,723, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Monday.
Total 31 deaths were reported, taking the total fatality count to 5,21,035.
Active caseload currently stand at 15,859, which now comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has decreased to 98.75 per cent.
The recovery tally rose to 4,24,83,829 as 1,567 patients recovered from the disease.
According to the bulletin, 78.73 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far. In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,32,389 tests have been conducted.
"India has administered 183.26 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the Ministry data said. (UNI)
