COVID-19: India logs 2,568 new cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India registered 2,568 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,30,85,093 while the death toll rose to 5,23,889 as 20 more succumbed to the ailment.
On a positive note, 2,911 more people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,25,41,887.
The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent. The active caseload stands at 19,317, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 83.86 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 189.41 of crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
