COVID-19: India logs 2,858 new cases, 11 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: A further 2,858 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in India, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

According to a Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,31,19,112 while the death toll climbed to 5,24,201 as 11 more victims succumbed to the disease.

On a positive note, 3,355 people recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 4,25,76,815.

The recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent. The active caseload stands at 18,096, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 84.34 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 191.15 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
