COVID-19: India records 2,827 new cases, 24 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded 2,827 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally to 4,3113,413 in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Thursday.
As many as 24 fresh Covid fatalities were also recorded, taking the total death count in the country, as a result of coronavirus, to 5,24,181.
The active cases currently stand at 19,067 which now comprise 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands to 98.74 per cent.
Meanwhile, 3,230 recoveries were also reported, increasing the total recoveries of 4,25,70,165.
According to the Ministry's bulletin, 84.24 Crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far, with 4,71,276 tests being carried out since Wednesday alone.
“India has so far administered 190.83 Cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive”. (UNI)
