COVID-19: India logs 20,279 new cases, 36 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 20,279 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
According to the Health Ministry bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,38,88,755 while the death toll rose to 5,26,033 after 36 more people succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, 18,143 people recovered from the disease, taking the tally of recoveries to 4,32,10,522. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.45 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 1,52,200, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 87.25 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 201.99 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
