COVID-19: India logs 5,383 new cases, active caseload stands at 45,281

New Delhi: India has registered 5,383 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,45,58,425 while the death toll rose to 5,28,449 as 20 more succumbed to the disease.
Total 6,424 people recuperated from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,39,84,695. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 45,281, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 89.30 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 217.26 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
