COVID-19: India registers 4,510 new cases in past 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 4,510 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The total caseload rose to 4,45,47,599 while the death toll rose to 5,28,403 as 33 more succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 5,640 people recuperated from the disease, taking the tally to 4,39,72,980. The recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 46,216, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 89.23 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 216.95 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
