COVID-19: India records 4,575 cases, 145 deaths in last 24 hrs

New Delhi: India recorded 4,575 new Covid cases, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry's bulletin, the total caseload rose to 4,29,75,883 while the death toll rose to 5,15,355 as 145 more people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 7,146 more people recovered from the disease during the same time, taking the total tally to of recoveries to 4,24,13,566.
The recovery rate currently stands at 98.69 per cent. The active caseload stands at 46,962, the figures showed.
According to the bulletin, 77.52 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 179.33 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
