COVID-19: India records 9,062 new cases, 36 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 9,062 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
The total caseload rose to 4,42,86,256 while the death toll rose to 5,27,134 as 36 more people succumbed to the disease.
On the other hand, 15,220 people recuperated from the disease, taking the total recovery to 4,36,54,064. The recovery rate stands at 98.57 per cent.
The active caseload stands at 1,05,058, the figures showed.
As per the bulletin, 88.10 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
India has administered 208.57 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive. (UNI)
