COVID-19: India reports 1,549 cases, 31 deaths in 24 hrs

New Delhi: India has registered 1,549 new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 4,30,09,390 and 31 deaths, as per the Union Health Ministry data on Monday.
The total death toll has now climbed to 5,16,510.
The active cases currently stand at 25,106, which now comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has decreased to 98.74 per cent.
Meanwhile, 2,652 patients have recovered, taking the total recoveries to 4,24,67,774.
According to the bulletin, 78.30 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 3,84,499 tests have been conducted.
"India has administered 181.24 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the Ministry data said. (UNI)
