COVID-19: Maharashtra reports 3,883 new cases, 2 deaths in 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 3,883 fresh Covid-19 cases and 2 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Sunday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,31,745 and the death toll has risen to 1,47,885.
Meanwhile, 2,802 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,61,032.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.86 per cent and fatality rate to 1.86 per cent.
So far 8,15,61,683 samples have been tested across the state and of them 79,31,745 were found as positive i.e. 9.72 percent.
Presently, 22,828 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the state, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, 20 new Covid cases were reported from the Marathwada region, including 11 in Aurangabad, 4 positive patient in Osmanabad, 3 patients in Nanded and 2 in Latur district, the bulletin further added. (UNI)
