Maharashtra reports 4,255 Covid cases, 3 deaths in 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 4,255 fresh Covid-19 case and 3 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Friday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,23,697 and the death toll has gone up to 1,47,880.
Meanwhile, 2,879 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,55,183.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.87 per cent and fatality rate to 1.86 per cent.
So far ,8,14,72,916 samples have been tested across the state and out of them 79,23,697 have been found positive for Covid i.e. 9.73 percent.
Presently, 20,634 Covid patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals, across the state, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, 18 Covid cases were reported from the Marathwada region of the state, including 8 in Aurangabad, 6 in Latur, 2 in Osmanabad district and one each in Nanded and Beed districts, the bulletin further added. (UNI)
