Maha Govt eases curbs in 20 districts as COVID cases dip

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Due to decline in the number of Covid patients and severity of corona infection across Maharashtra, the state government has relaxed restrictions in 20 districts from Monday onwards.
The rules will remain the same in Mumbai, but Pune and Thane gets relaxation, an official press statement stated.
As the positivity rate of Pimpri-Chinchwad is around five-and-a-half per cent, restrictions in the township will remain.
The restrictions have been lifted in these districts including Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Dhule, Gondia, Hingoli, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nanded, Nandurbar, Parbhani, Solapur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal, the statement added.
The state had recorded 10,442 corona cases on Sunday. (UNI)
