Maharashtra reports 2,382 positive cases and 8 deaths in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra reports 2,382 fresh Covid-19 cases and 8 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Sunday.
With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,17,205 and the death toll gone up to 1,48,023.
Meanwhile, 2,853 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,53,661.
The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.96 per cent and fatality rate is at 1.84 per cent.
So far 8,25,99,520 samples have been tested in the state and of them 80,17,205 have tested positive i.e. 9.71 percent.
Presently, 15,521 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, the Marathwada region 162 Covid cases were reported including 53 cases in Aurangabad district, followed by 22 cases in Latur, 21 in Jalna, 20 cases each in Osmanabad and Hingoli districts, 13 cases each in Beed and Nanded district and 2 in Nanded district, the bulletin further added.
