Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi, is one of the most celebrated Hindu festivals dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The festival begins with Ganpati Sthapana (idol installation) on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada and continues for 10 days, ending with Ganesh Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi.
In 2025, Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, and Anant Chaturdashi will be observed on Saturday, 6 September 2025.

According to Choghadiya Muhurat, the best times for Ganesh Puja are:
Amrit Muhurat: 7:33 AM – 9:09 AM Shubh Muhurat: 10:46 AM – 12:22 PM Evening Shubh Muhurat: 6:48 PM – 7:55 PM
Rahu Kaal: 12:22 PM – 1:59 PM
Idol installation and puja should be avoided during this period.
Note: Traditionally, the Madhyahna Ganesh Puja Muhurat is considered between 11:05 AM and 1:40 PM. However, since Rahu Kaal falls within this window, devotees are advised to prefer the Choghadiya Shubh Muhurat (10:46 AM – 12:22 PM) for installation and worship.
