Telangana CM Revanth Reddy sanctions Rs 25 crore for Saraswati River Pushkaram at Kaleshwaram

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has sanctioned Rs 25 crores for the Saraswati River Pushkaram, scheduled to take place from May 15 to May 26 this year at Kaleshwaram Kshetra in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
 
In anticipation of the large number of devotees expected to attend the event, Endowment, and Forest Minister Konda Surekha instructed the Principal Secretary of the Endowment Department, Shailaja Ramayyar, and Commissioner Sridhar to ensure the systematic development of essential facilities. This includes the construction of bathing ghats, the widening of roads, the improvement of drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects.
 
The Minister emphasised the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth and successful organization of the Pushkaram. She also highlighted that the Congress government had previously organized the Saraswati River Pushkaram in 2013, before the formation of Telangana.
 
The minister assured that this year’s Pushkaram will be celebrated on a grand scale, showcasing the spiritual and cultural beauty of the state, and reaffirming Telangana's rich heritage, an official statement said on Monday.
