Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy dedicated the gold-plated Vimana Gopuram to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Yadagirigutta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Sunday.
Before the dedication ceremony, the Chief Minister, along with his wife Ms Geetha, participated in the Maha Kumbhabhishek Samprokshan Mahotsav at 1154 hours during the Pushkaramsa Sumuhurtana of the Moola Nakshatra Vrishabha Lagna.
The programs were conducted under the direct supervision of Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamy, the 31st Peethadhipathi of Vanamamalai Math.
Later, the Chief Minister offered prayers to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy along with his wife Ms Geetha.
The structure has set a record as the tallest Swarna Gopuram in the country, standing 50.5 feet high with an area of 10,759 square feet. A total of 68 kg of gold was used for the gold plating.
Chennai-based M/s Smart Creations carried out the work. About Rs. 80 crore was spent on the gold plating.
As part of the event, the Chief Minister and his wife, along with several ministers, MPs, MLAs, and Mathadhipathis, participated in the Mahakumbha Samprokshan programs.
