According to information received from police sources, two suspicious boats were found near the beaches of Harihareshwar and Bharadkhol in Srivardhan and three AK-47 rifles were found in one of the boats along with some live cartridges were also seized by the police.

At the same time, life jackets and other suspicious materials have been found on the Bhardakhol beach. Therefore, now the police have seized the suspicious boats found and are started investigating whether the militants were again preparing to attack on Mumbai or other parts in the state.

A few days ago, the police had received information that some suspicious boats had been found on the shores of Konkan. After that, the police increased patrolling in these areas.

On November 26, 2008, terrorists from Pakistan entered Mumbai by sea. The militants killed more than 250 innocent people by firing indiscriminately at many places in Mumbai. Apart from this, RDX, which was used in the 1993 Bomb blasts in Mumbai, landed on the beach of Shrivardhan.

Therefore, now the police are investigating whether there was a plan to carry out same act in Mumbai or other places in the state due to the stockpile of weapons found by the police Thursday. (UNI)
