Bihar: BPSC aspirants clash with police demanding re-examination

Police used water cannons and also resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse BPSC aspirants who were marching ahead in the form of a procession near Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday.

After the students parliament organised at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, which was addressed by Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, extending his support to them, BPSC aspirants marched ahead in procession towards the CM residence, but they were prevented near J P Roundabout. Students were asked not to march ahead by the officials of district administration but they broke through two barricades prompting police to use water cannons to disperse them.

When students did not leave the venue even after the use of water cannons on them, police resorted to mild lathicharge on them. After police action, students left the venue, and traffic flow was restored on the road, which was disrupted during the protest.Earlier, the founder of "Jan Suraaj" had addressed the students parliament organised by aspirants on his suggestion at Gandhi Maidan.

He had extended all his support to them for reconducting the preliminary test, which was earlier conducted by BPSC on December 13 but marred by a series of irregularities, including paper leaks.
