Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar tests positive for coronavirus

Bengaluru: Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited Kiran Mazumdar Shaw said that she has tested positive for COVID-19.

“I have added to the Covid count by testing positive. Mild symptoms n I hope it stays that way,” Bengaluru-based Biocon chief tweeted on Monday night.

Congress Lok Sabha member Shashi Tharoor has wished her a speedy recovery.

It may be recalled that more than 2.33 lakh people in Karnataka have tested positive for the pandemic, including Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Opposition Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah, and also state Health Minister B Sreeramulu.

All of them had recovered after undergoing treatment for the pandemic. (UNI)
