New Delhi: Criticising the BJP for attempting to 'subvert democracy' in Karnataka, former BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Thursday cautioned that the ruling party will repeat the same in 2019 elections.Mr Sinha, former Finance Minister, had recently left the BJP and campaigned against the policies of the Modi-led government at the Centre.
In a series of tweets, Mr Sinha said, ''What is happening in Karnataka today is a rehearsal for what will happen after the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi.''

He also expressed happiness over quitting the ruling party and said, ''I am glad I have left the party which is so brazenly trying to subvert democracy in Karnataka. It will do the same if it fails to get majority in Lok Sabha next year. Pl note my warning."

His remarks came after Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala invited BJP leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa to form the government. The BJP has 104 seats in comparison to 117 of Congress-JD(S) alliance in the 224-member state assembly.Mr Yeddyurappa took oath as the Chief Minister and has 15 days time to prove the majority in the House.(UNI)
