Delhi bracing for another warm day, Temperature may dip at weekend

New Delhi: Delhi is likely to witness a warm day on Wednesday as the maximum temperature is likely to hit 43 degree Celsius, as per India Meteorological department.
The department, however, predicted that parts of the city may witness heatwave conditions along with strong surface wind during the day time.
Many parts of Delhi had reeled under severe heatwave for a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday.
It further predicted that the heatwave would be prevalent in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The Weather agency also forecasts, western disturbance might bring some relief from Saturday in the city, as the maximum temperature may drop to 40-41 degree Celsius.
“Cloudy conditions and drizzle expected on June 11 over northwest India and parts of central India due to western disturbance. Heatwave to abate from June 11,” it said.
The minimum temperature in the city on Wednesday morning was recorded at 31.2 degrees, four notches above normal.
“The relative humidity was settled at 26 percent at 8:30 hrs” IMD said.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature at Safdarjung, the city’s base station, was recorded at 43.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the season’s average. (UNI)
