In a joint operation by the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police, four most-wanted gangsters were killed in an encounter in Rohini, Delhi. Among the dead, three were from Bihar and one was from Delhi. Reports suggest that the gangsters were allegedly plotting violence during the upcoming Bihar elections.
According to Delhi Police, the encounter took place on Bahadur Shah Marg in Rohini during a major joint operation between the Delhi Crime Branch and Bihar Police. Heavy gunfire was exchanged from both sides. Among those killed was Ranjan Pathak, the leader of the Sigma gang, who hailed from Sitamarhi, Bihar. A reward of Rs 25,000 had been announced for his arrest.
Along with Ranjan Pathak, Manish Pathak, Aman Thakur, and Vimlesh Mahto were also killed. Ranjan, Manish, and Vimlesh were all linked to Sitamarhi’s criminal network, while Aman was a resident of Delhi.
After the encounter, Delhi Police launched an investigation, and a forensic team reached the site. All the accused were wanted in multiple criminal cases.
