Exit polls: close fight b/w BJP & Cong in MP, CG, Raj going Cong way

New Delhi: Exit polls on Friday predicted a clear win for the Congress in Rajasthan while forecasting a close fight between the party and BJP in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh .
An  exit poll released by India Today gave the opposition Congress a slight lead over 
incumbent BJP in Madhya Pradesh, predicting that it would garner 104-122 seats against 102-122 seats by BJP in a tightly-contested assembly elections .
Independents and others were expected to gain four to eleven seats in the state which has seen three-term rule of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. 
 
An exit poll by  NewsX forecast a hung in MP with the Congress predicted to win 112 seats followed closely by BJP at 106 and 12 for others. The halfway mark was 116s.
 
However, according to Times Now-CNX, BJP would romp home safely in MP with 126 seats while Congress was expected to settle for 89 seats and 15 for others.The Times Now-CNX poll survey on Chhattisgarh, showed that while BJP would retain 46 seats, Congresswas expected to get 35 seats and JCC+BSP would win seven and two for others. 
 
The India Today exit poll, however, predicted a clear win for the Congress in Chhattisgar, goiving it 55-65 seats while the BJp was pedicted to win 21-31 seats. The other are predicted to win 4 to 8 seats.
 
The exit polls predicted a clear win for the Congress in rajasthan.In the case of Rajasthan, the Times Now polls indicated Congress would cross the halfway mark by leading with 105 seats, BJP retaining 85 and two for BSP. The India Today exit poll preducted that the Congress would win 119-141 seats while the BJP was predicted to win 55-57 seats.(UNI)
