Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh passes away

Lucknow:Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Ex-Governor of Rajasthan Kalyan Singh breathed his last here at the SGPGIMS on Saturday night.He was 89.
He was admitted at the SGPGIMS on July 4 last in the Intensive Care Unit in a critical condition.He died due to sepsis and multi organ failure, a SGPGIMS statement here said.
 
Meanwhile, Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has rushed to SGPGIMS along with several of his ministerial colleague.Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had visited the hospital to inquire about the health of Kalyan Singh.
 
Kalyan Singh is survived with his son Rajveer who is a BJP MP from Etah and grand son Sandeep, who is a minister in the Yogi government.

SGPGI Director Dr R K Dhiman said that for the past several days, Mr Kalyan Singh's health had remained critical. Doctors were keeping a close watch over his health.
 
The doctors said that the former CM was unable to take oxygen by himself. Due to this, their lungs and blood were not getting enough oxygen supply, leading to increased pressure on the lungs, heart, kidney, liver. It was also affecting the functioning of his brain, due to which on Tuesday night doctors started giving oxygen to the lungs by inserting a tube in his throat.
 
Kalyan Singh was admitted to SGPGIMS on July 4 last.(UNI)
