Howrah: A teenage girl allegedly hanged herself to death , after she found out that she had failed in the Madhyamik (class 10) examination in Howrah district's Belur area, police said.
The incident happened at Chandmari village on Wednesday evening when the door of a room had to be broken after several calls went unanswered and the body of Munni Sahani (16) was recovered.
Munni, an orphan, used to live with her paternal aunt. After finding herself unsuccessful in the Madhyamik exam, the result of which was out on Wednesday, she felt dejected and allegedly committed suicide.The body has been sent for postmortem.(UNI)
