Heat wave in Rajasthan continues, Ganganagar records highest temp of 44.3°C

Pune:The highest maximum temperature of 44.3°C was reported at Ganganagar (west Rajasthan).While on Thursday, Rajasthan was hottest at 45.5 degrees celsius.Conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon over Delhi, remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan during next 24 hours.
Conditions are also becoming favourable for further advance of monsoon over remaining parts of the country during 11th-12th July.
Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at most places over Himachal Pradesh and Punjab; at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; above normal (1.6°C to 3.1°C) at most places over Madhya Maharashtra; at many places over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and south interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan and Goa.
They were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at many places over Vidarbha; at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at most places over Chhattisgarh; at many places over Jharkhand, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Odisha, Andaman, Nicobar Islands and near normal over rest parts of the country.
Thunderstorm observed (from 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hrs IST of today) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Madhya Maharashtra, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rayalaseema, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Konkan and Goa.The monsoon has been vigorous over Tamil Nadu and active over Konkan and Goa. It has subdued over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Bihar, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu-Kasmir and Ladakh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
