Prophet remark row: Arms, ammunition seized from Prayagraj violence mastermind’s razed home

Prayagraj: Local authorities on Sunday demolished the residence of the mastermind of Friday's Prayagraj violence Mohd Javed Ahmed alias Javed Pump worth over Rs 5 crore.

Uttar Pradesh police has also recovered incriminating material including arms and ammunition from his residence.

Prayagraj SSP Ajay Kumar said that officials of Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA), local administration, municipal corporation and police personnel were present during the demolition drive carried out under Khuldabad Police Station area.

Police said, they were analyzing the incriminating materials and documents recovered from the residence of Javed Pump.

Police said they were also collecting evidence against the daughter of the mastermind and if sufficient evidence was found, she could also be arrested.

The SSP said stern action would be taken against those using children for stone pelting and violence.

He said miscreants were being identified with the help of CCTV footage and they would be arrested. (UNI)
