Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday emphasised that this century is a "tech-driven and data-driven" century and said India has shown how the democratisation of digital technology is benefiting every sector and every class.
"Today, India is showcasing the true power of her Democracy, Demography and Data to the world" Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an inaugural session of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in Jaipur.
He further added, "India's success shows what the power of democracy, demography, digital data, and delivery." The fact that democracy is becoming so strong in a diverse country like India is a huge achievement in itself."
Addressing the Summit 2024, which is being held from December 9 to 11 PM Modi noted that "Every investor in the world is excited about India and the development that India has achieved through the Mantra of - Reform, Perform and Transform, can be seen in every sector."
The Prime Minister said the priority of the post-independence governments was neither the development of the country nor the heritage of the country, and Rajasthan has suffered the loss due to this.
"Today, our government is working on the mantra of 'Development as well as Heritage,' and our Rajasthan is getting huge benefits from it," adding that our government is working with the mantra of 'Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi,' and Rajasthan is reaping the benefits of this approach."
During the inaugural session, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and several union ministers were also present on the occasion.
Representatives from 32 countries, including five thousand business and trade representatives, diplomats, and investors, are participating in this summit.
The main objective of this event is to promote investment and industries in the state and create new employment opportunities, and to promote the investment in the state, 9 new policies have been recently released by the Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, including Energy, MSME, Tourism, and Mining.
According to sources, MoUs worth Rs 30 lakh crore have been signed for investment proposals prior to the summit.
