India’s COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 67.19 pc

New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 recovery rate on Wednesday improved to 67.19, after the country recorded 51706 cured/discharged cases in the past 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry, 1282215 persons have so far defeated the virus across the country.
However, the active cases of the contagion at present stand at 586244, as per government data.
Fatalities in India due to the COVID-19 contagion have also increased after 857 people died due to the virus in the past one day, taking the death toll till date to 39795.
The death, however, has further reduced and presently stands at 2.09 per cent in the country.
Overall contagion tally across the nation has now crossed the 19 lakh mark, with the figure standing at 1908255.
On the brighter side, the recovered cases have exceeded the active cases by 695972.
A total of 2,14,84,402 samples have been tested for COVID-19 as per the Indian Council of Medical Research till Tuesday. (UNI)
