Karunanidhi's blood pressure stabilized : Kauvery Hospital

Chennai: The Blood Pressure of DMK President  M Karunanidhi, who was admitted to Kavery hospital in the early hours on Saturday  has been stabilized  with medical management.
The Nonagenarian leader was shifted to the hospital in an ambulance around 0130 hours from his Gopalapuram residence  following drop in Blood Pressure.
 
Kauvery Hospital in its statement here on Saturday said ''DMK president M Karunanidhi
has been admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU)  and his blood pressure has been stabilized.
He continues to monitored and treated by the panel of expert doctors''.
 
Former Union Minister A Raja told newsmen that Mr Karunanidhi has been brought to the hospital due to drop in his blood pressure and now his blood pressure has been stablized.
 
VCK  leader TholThirumavalavan, who came to the hospital in the early hours today said Mr Karunanidhi's health is improving well and the party workers need not worry about his health.
 
As soon as Mr Karunanidhi was shifted to the hospital, his sons M K Azhagiri, M K Stalin, daughter Kanimozhi and party leader Durai Murugan rushed the hospital.
 
Elaborate security arrangements were made in and around of the hospital.Earlier on Friday,  get-well messages poured in from President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi  and  leaders from different parties.
 
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, AICC President Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad were likely to visit hospital later in the day.(UNI)
