New Delhi:National Capital's air quality on Saturday deteriorated further to fall under 'very poor' category with an average Air Quality Index measuring at 352, the Central Pollution Control Board said.
It turned very ''poor poor'' in the neighbouring cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram as well, while at one or two monitoring centres in the neighbouring cities, the index value was even above 401, falling under 'severe' category.
However, the weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle towards the evening that might help in improving the air quality slightly and make the air quality better.
At several locations in Delhi, including Anand Vihar, Ghazipur, Chandni Chowk and others the air quality index was on the higher side.
The MET official has forecast maximum temperature in the day to hover around 26 degrees C, while for Sunday the weatherman has forecast dense fog in the morning with minimum temperature to hover around 10 degrees C.
