National Capital Delhi's air quality turns 'very poor' ,AQI 352

New Delhi:National Capital's air quality on Saturday deteriorated further to fall under 'very poor' category with an average  Air Quality Index measuring at 352, the Central Pollution Control Board said.
It turned very ''poor  poor'' in the neighbouring cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram as well, while at one or two monitoring centres in the neighbouring cities, the index value was even above 401, falling  under 'severe' category.
 
There was high relative humidity in the morning at 96 per cent and temperature of 13.8 degrees further prevented dispersion of the particulate matter in the National Capital with slow pace of wind.
 
However, the weatherman has forecast generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle towards the evening that might help in improving the air quality slightly and make the  air quality better.
 
At several locations in Delhi, including Anand Vihar, Ghazipur, Chandni Chowk and others the air quality index was on the higher side.
 
The MET official has forecast maximum temperature in the day to hover around 26 degrees C, while for Sunday the weatherman has forecast dense fog in the morning with minimum temperature to hover around 10 degrees C.
 
On Sunday, the air quality might further deteriorate with very dense fog and low temperature.(UNI)
