Chandigarh: Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu's NRI sister Suman Tur alleged on Friday that Sidhu abandoned their old-aged mother after the death of their father in 1986 and she later died as a destitute woman at Delhi railway station in 1989.

Interacting with the media, 70-year-old Tur denounced Sidhu's claim that his parents were legally separated. She said that after Sidhu made such a claim, his mother had approached the court.
