These raids are going on in 13 locations in Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Anantnag districts in the valley.
Officials said the raids are part of the ongoing investigation in a terror conspiracy case registered in 2022 in Jammu.
“Searches are underway in the RC-5/2022/NIA/JMU case,” they said.
The case relates to the hatching of a conspiracy, both physical and cyber space, and plans by the proscribed terrorist organisations to unleash violent terrorist attacks in J&K with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms. The plans are part of a larger conspiracy by these terrorist outfits to commit acts of terror and violence, in association with local youth/overground workers, to disturb peace and communal disharmony in J&K.
Last week, the NIA carried out extensive searches in Jammu & Kashmir, in the premises of cadres and hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers linked with the newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of several major banned Pak-backed terror outfits in the same case. (UNI)
