Padma Award: PM Modi asks public to nominate inspiring people

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked the public to nominate for people's Padma those who are doing exceptional work at the grassroots but not much known.
The last date of nomination for these award is September 15.
In a tweet, he said, "India has many talented people, who are doing exceptional work at the grassroots. Often, we don’t see or hear much of them. Do you know such inspiring people? You can nominate them for the #PeoplesPadma. Nominations are open till 15th September."

The Union Home Ministry has initiated the online nomination process for Padma Awards to be announced on Republic Day, 2022. The nomination process this year will be completely digital due to Covid-19 pandemic. (UNI)
