From little girl’s hand-drawn portrait to patriotic song by a boy: PM Modi receives enthusiastic welcome from Indian diaspora in Berlin – WATCH

Berlin/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Berlin on Monday morning to an enthusiastic welcome from the Indian community.
The PM said in a tweet that though it was early morning in Berlin many Indian diaspora members had turned up to welcome him. He said India is proud of the accomplishments of its diaspora. “It was early morning in Berlin yet several people from the Indian community came by. Was wonderful connecting with them. India is proud of the accomplishments of our diaspora.”

The PM heard a little Indian boy sing a patriotic song in Hindi, and clicked his fingers in beat to his song, while keeping one hand affectionately on his shoulder. Later, the PM commended the child for singing the song.
A little girl also showed the PM a pencil portrait of his that she had drawn, and he praised her drawing. Many of the Indian members shouted 'Bharat Mata ki jai' and 'Vande Mataram' as he arrived.
He will address around 2,000 members of the Indian community at an event later in the day.
PM Modi will co-chair the 6th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations in Berlin today with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The two leaders will also jointly address a Business Event.
The PM arrived in Berlin on the first leg of his three-nation tour that will also take him to Copenhagen and Paris, from May 2-4. (UNI)
