Prez and PM remembers Lal Bahadur Shastri on birth anniversary

New Delhi:Mr Ramnath Kovind also paid tributes to the former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.The President remembered Shashtri as the great son of the country who served the nation with utmost diligence and dedication.

Mr Kovind further said that it was Mr Shastri's courage simplicity and integrity which continues to remain an inspiration for the entire country.

''Remembering our former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji on his birth anniversary.

A great son of India, he served our nation with utmost diligence and dedication.

His courage, simplicity and integrity remains an inspiration for the entire country.'' President Kovind tweeted.

PM pays tribute to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday remembered  former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his  115th birth anniversary.

Taking to micro blogging site twitter, the Prime Minister said, ''I salute the former Prime Minister  on his birth anniversary who's slogan ans call ' Jai Jawan jai Kisan' maid a new energy run through the whole country''.  

Mr Modi also uploaded a short video message on his twitter handle showing Shastri's love for Khadi and also mentioned and praised his determination and grit.(UNI)
