A shocking incident, a 30-year-old human skeleton was found in the courtyard of a village house in Uttar Pradesh.
39-year-old Punjabi Singh, a resident of Girlodpur in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras district, alleged his two elder brothers had killed their father Buddh Singh and hid his body in the house.
Buddh Singh had gone missing in 1994 and despite much efforts by his relatives he could not be traced, the police said.
Punjabi Singh lodged a complaint at the office of Hathras District Magistrate Rohit Pandey alleging his father was killed 30 years ago and was buried in his house by his two elder brothers and a resident of the same village.
Punjabi Singh was just 9-year-old when his father went missing.
Based on the complaint of Punjabi Singh, the excavation work was carried out at his house after the orders of the DM in the matter, the official said.
A skeleton was found in his house during the excavation, after which it was sent for postmortem and DNA testing, the police said.
"No police complaint has been filed yet. Further action will be taken based on the DNA report," the official added.
