New DelhI:The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday dismissed the review petitions filed by three convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case.The Supreme Court also upheld it's earlier order of sentencing the three convicts -- Mukesh, Pawan Gupta and Vinay Sharma - - to the gallows.(Pic- social media)
All the three convicts sought a review of their death penalty upheld by the Supreme Court in its earlier order last year.A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra and also comprising Justices R Bhanumathi and Ashok Bhushan passed the order on the review petition filed by them.The three convicts had sought lesser sentence in the case.(UNI)
