Stage set for PM Modi's swearing in ceremony tomorrow

The stage is set for the swearing-in-ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his council of Ministers in Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7.15 pm on Sunday.Foreign leaders of neighbouring countries, to Asia’s first Loco pilot Surekha Yadav, over 8,000 guests, including several prominent people and cultural performers will present at the ceremony.In addition to participating in the swearing-in ceremony, the leaders will attend a Banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the same evening.

The visit of the leaders to attend the swearing-in ceremony is in keeping with the highest priority accorded by India to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and ‘SAGAR’ vision" said the Ministry of External Affairs.Asia’s first loco pilot, Surekha Yadav, will attend the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi, said the Railway officials.

Ms Yadav, who is piloting the Vande Bharat train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Solapur, is among ten loco pilots invited for the oath ceremony in New Delhi, the official said.She is the first woman loco pilot of the semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express plying between Solapur and CSMT in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police has taken strict measures to ensure security during the June 9 event.According to Delhi police officials, multi-layered security arrangements have been arranged for the event.

Five companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed for the security of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Apart from this, NSG commandos, drones, and snipers will also guard the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the mega event.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi staked claim to form the NDA government for the third consecutive time at the Centre.Modi said, "NDA will form a strong, stable and growth-oriented government"."The NDA partners have reposed trust on him, he added.

Presidents of Maldives, Sri Lanka, PMs of Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan to attend swearing-in

Leaders from India’s neighbourhood and the Indian Ocean Region have been invited as distinguished guests for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

The leaders who have accepted the invitation to attend include: President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe; President of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu; Vice-President of Seychelles, Ahmed Afif; Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina; Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth; Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’; and Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay.

The visit of the leaders to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term is in keeping with the highest priority accorded by India to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and ‘SAGAR’ vision, the MEA statement said.The swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Council of Ministers following the General Elections 2024 is scheduled on June 9, Sunday.(UNI)
