Swami Vivekananda's Chicago address still inspires generations: PM

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the historic speech made by Swami Vivekananda at Chicago in 1893 continues to "reverberate and inspire generations". "This speech by Swami Vivekananda, delivered on this day in 1893, continues to reverberate & inspire generations," Prime Minister wrote in a tweet.

Mr Modi also shared the link of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Bellur Math - " http://www.belurmath.org/swamivivekananda_works.htm …" that has the full text of Swami Vivekananda's speech. The cyclonic Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda had represented India and Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions (1893). This was the first World's Parliament of Religions and it was held from 11 to 27 September 1893. (UNI)
