Tamil nadu and Telangana assist flood-hit Kerala

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has announced Rs 25 crore financial assistance to the flood-hit Kerala.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed Chief Secretary S K Joshi to ensure that this amount  reached Kerala immediately.Mr Rao also instructed the officials concerned that  in view of water getting polluted due to floods, Rs 2.50 crore worth R.O. machines should be despatched to Kerala.
      
'It is the responsibility of Telangana people to help Kerala state in distress, the Chief Minister said and appealed the industrialists , IT companies, Big businessmen and others to come forward  to donate liberally'.
        
He said that if donations are given to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF),  arrangements will be made to send them to rain-battered Kerala. The Chief Minister  expressed deep sorrow on the natural calamity that has taken place in Kerala due to which there is loss of life and property. 
       
He also expressed hope that the neighouring state will come out of the trouble at the earliest.The Chief Minister said, on behalf of  Telangana, the government is ready to extend necessary help to the state of Kerala, an official statement here said on Friday.

Flood Fury: Telangana Foods dispatch 100 tons of 'Balamrutham' to Kerala
 
Telangana Foods dispatched 100 Metric Tonnes of ''Balamrutham'' (a nutritious food manufactured by Telangana Foods, Nacharam for children) costing Rs.52.5 lakh free of cost to feed the flood-stranded children in Kerala.
 
The nutritious food was airlifted by Defence Aircraft from Begumpet Airport around 0730 hours on Saturday, official sources said.(UNI)
