Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Monday lashed out at senior BJP leader and former MLA Baldev Raj for terming the innocent killings as "Chhut Put Ghtna" (a small incident).

"Such remarks shows the insensitiveness of BJP towards the innocent killings in Kashmir," JKPCC Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said in a statement here.

Reacting to the highly outrageous comments of the senior BJP leader Baldev Raj who termed the target killings as 'Chhut put Ghatna,' the JKPCC called it shameful and asked the party to apologise to the families of the deceased.

"The ruling party is celebrating the eight years of BJP government while innocents are getting killed, minorities are fleeing from Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandits and Jammu employees are protesting for shifting to safer places and the government has held migrant employees hostage inside their camps," said Sharma.

He said that the 'insensitiveness' of the ruling BJP is very unfortunate and shows its lack of pain and concern towards the innocent sufferings and the worrisome situation in Kashmir, spreading elsewhere.
