TRAGIC! Young scientist, on way to Hyderabad airport, dies after being washed away in Telangana floods

In a tragic incident, a young scientist died after she was washed away by floodwaters in Mahabubabad district of Telangana while travelling with her father to Hyderabad airport.

The incident occurred in the Maripeda mandal near Purushottamaiahgudem.

The car carrying agricultural scientist Dr Ashwini Nunaavath and her father was swept away by floodwaters while crossing a bridge over the Akuru stream in Purushottamaiahgudem.

They were on their way to Hyderabad airport to catch a flight for a conference in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Search and rescue teams were quickly deployed, and Dr. Ashwini's body was later recovered. However, her father remains missing.
