Uttar Pradesh ATS arrests another JeM-linked terrorist

Lucknow: Another youth, allegedly having links with terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JEM) was arrested by Anti Terror Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police from Kanpur on Sunday, an official spokesman said here.
The spokesman said, "Based on the interrogation of Muhammad Nadeem, who was arrested from Saharanpur on Friday, a field unit of Kanpur has arrested Habibullah Islam alias Saifullah (19). Habibullah has admitted that he knows Nadeem and both are connected with terror link JeM."
The spokesman said that Habibullah is expert in making Virtual IDs and he gave around 50 IDs to terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan along with Nadeem. "Habibullah is in touch with several handlers in Pakistan and Afghanistan through social media platforms like Telegram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger," he said.
He said that Habibullah is connected with several groups through Virtual IDs and he provided Virtual IDs to other members of the groups. "Jihadi videos are sent in these groups. Habibullah was also prompting others for Jihad by sending Jihadi videos to others," he said.
The spokesman said that the Pakistani handler of JeM had asked Habibullah to come to Pakistan and undergo Jihadi training and do Jihad in India.
It may be noted that one Mohammad Nadeem allegedly having links with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Tehrik-e-Taliban, Pakistan (TTP) was arrested by the ATS from Saharanpur on Friday.
The ATS spokesman said, "Mohammad Nadeem, a resident of Gangoh in Saharanpur district has been arrested. During interrogation Nadeem revealed that he was planning a 'Fidayeen' attack on a government building or police premises." (UNI)
