Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday claimed that the path for the Ram temple already had been drawn three years back when Deepotsav was started in the temple city.
"It was an aspiration and dream of 135 crore population of the country to have a grand Ram temple and it was achieved under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he said while addressing the special invitees of the Bhoomi pujan at the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi premises here after PM laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple.
Mr Yogi Adityanath said people struggled for 500 years for the temple and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilment of dream to build temple in Ayodhya.
He said that the UP government had already completed several developmental projects in Ayodhya while hundreds are underway.
''Some people could not be here due to Covid-19 pandemic. They will be called for future events in Ayodhya', said Yogi.
Ram temple will be modern symbol of our traditions and culture: Modi
Ayodhya:Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will become the modern symbol of our traditions and will depict the Indian culture of mankind and inspiration.
Though maintaining that Ram Janmabhoomi has got freedom today, PM said like August 15 is Independence Day for the country, today holds a similar significance for crores of those who devoted their lives for the cause of Ram temple." I bow to these people and their family members for their sacrifice," he said.
Minister said the entire world is witnessing history being made with the foundation of Ram temple and called for chants of Jai Shri Ram.
"History is also is being repeated. The way boatmen of tribals helped Lord Ram, the way children helped Lord Krishna lift Govardhan mountain, similarly, with everyone's efforts temple construction will be completed," he said.
Lord Ram does not teach discrimination and the blessings of Lord Ram are always there with the poor and the helpless. This grand Ram Temple to be built in Ayodhya, like the name of Lord Rama, will reflect the rich heritage of Indian culture. I believe it will inspire the entire humanity till eternity,he claimed.
Addressing the gathering of select dignitaries mostly seers after laying the foundation stone for the grand 161 feet tall Ram temple, Mr Modi ," this Ram temple will become a symbol of our devotion, our national sentiment. This temple will also symbolise the power of collective resolution of crores of people. It will keep inspiring future generations."
Before going for the bhoomi pujan, PM, worshiped at the Hanumangarhi and Ram Lalla temples, first time by any Prime minister of the country.
Prime Minister said the process of Ram temple's construction is an attempt to connect the nation. It will be a modern symbol of our culture, eternal faith and national spirit, he added.
He said Ram Mandir will become the modern symbol of our traditions. our devotion and our national sentiment. This temple will also symbolise the power of collective resolution of crores of people. It will keep inspiring the future generations. Every heart is illuminated, it is an emotional moment for the entire country. "A long wait ends today", he said.(UNI)
