A shocking incident from Mumbai has triggered massive outrage on social media. An audio clip, allegedly of an HDFC Bank employee named Anuradha Verma, is going viral in which she is heard speaking rudely to a soldier during a loan recovery call. People across the country are demanding strict action against her.

Insulting a Soldier Over Loan Recovery

In the viral audio, Anuradha Verma allegedly calls a soldier regarding a loan repayment. When the soldier questions the high-interest amount, she reportedly loses her temper.
The soldier can be heard saying: "I asked several times why my loan was sanctioned for Rs 15.85 lakh, and why the interest is being taken on 16 lakh.”

To this, the woman replies angrily: "You were told many times. What can you do? If you were educated, you would be working in a good company. You are illiterate, that's why you were sent to the border. Ignorant fellow." These words have left listeners shocked.

Offensive Remarks About Martyrs

When the soldier requested her to speak politely, Anuradha allegedly went further, making highly offensive remarks. She said: "It's people like you who give birth to disabled children. People like you die on the border."

"Living on Loans" Remark

The woman didn't stop there. She mocked the soldier further, saying: "If you were from a big family, you wouldn't be living on loans of 15-16 lakh. Stop giving me advice. You are not able to pay Rs 5,000."

When the soldier mentioned that he had recorded the conversation, she replied: "Do whatever you want. Come and show me. You won't even be able to face me."

"I'm Not Your Father's Servant"

The audio also records her refusing to provide details about the loan, saying: "Why should I send anything? Am I your father's servant?"

Public Outrage and Bank's Silence

The audio has now gone viral, causing widespread anger. Many people have demanded action against the employee for insulting a soldier and making indecent remarks about martyrs.
So far, HDFC Bank has not issued any official statement regarding the incident. Meanwhile, Webdunia cannot independently verify the authenticity of the viral audio.
